Day of the Dead - Assignment Description

Your assignment has three parts:

Section 1: Design an offrenda to be used during the celebrations of the day of the Dead. Detail the different symbols used. This can be on paper but better still build a mini offrenda using a small cardboard box. Use your imagination, but remember to show the different symbols used. 

Section 2:   Explain why and how the offrenda is an important part of the celebrations of the Day of the Dead     

Section 3:   Do you think the celebrations of the Day of the Dead are helpful in preparing people to deal with death? Give reasons for your answers with reference to the offrenda and other events and festivities.

You will need complete all three parts over the next two weeks including half term.

Your teacher will give you the exact date she expects it to be completed.

Your assessment will be marked according to the level descriptors
