The Schools Involved
UVHS is a mixed secondary school consisting of around 1200 pupils ages 11-18. The school is situated in the small historic market town of Ulverston in the south of Cumbria. It offers local young people secondary education in Ulverston and the surrounding catchment area. The school was designated a Mathematics and Computing College in September 2003. Alongside the pioneering Mexico Linking project the school is also proud of its acheivements in orienteering and music.

The school we are linking with in Mexico City is Secondaria Tecnica #44 ' Francisco Villa'. It is situated in a residential area of Mexico city. It has just over 1000 pupils. Half of the pupils attend a morning session from roughly 8 am until 12 am and the other half attend an afternoon session lasting from 2 pm to 6 pm .
